East Timor: Airshow in East Timor

Diligence is impressed by the military chopper maneuvers in East Timor. “I asked some Timorese if they knew of any trouble spot (they usually know) but no-one knew. I am none the wiser but it certainly was a spectacle with a fair bit of swooping, coming to a halt then speeding off again. Better than TV.”

No offense, but this post is completely out of context. You need to fill your readers in on what has been happening in Timor since your last post, which is an increase in military activity by the Australian International Stabilization Forces in their man-hunt for fugitive Major Alfredo Reinado.

Somebody reading this site to figure out what is going on in East Timor would be hard-pressed to make sense of Dili-gence’s last post, without spending more time reading the daily stream of information he provides.

  • Hi GP, I would be posting a longer article this weekend on the latest happenings in East Timor.

I hope the report on heleicopters was from someone EAst Timor. Too many news reports on activities there do not reflect the situation. The troubles are really only in two suburbs of Dili, the rest of the country is qiet, and not damaged by the recent problems
