Brunei: English Language Standard in Brunei

Old Man is not too happy with the standard of English language in Brunei and takes the education system to task. “I know there are lots of arguments about the Malay language, about it being our mother tongue and that we should uphold it etc etc etc, but if it affects negatively the future of our children and their employability, then we really should change our way of thinking. Who really employs only malay speaking staff nowadays? Cant something be done to improve the quality of english language teaching in our primary schools”
