India: On Duty

The Delhicate Constitution ^[1] on duty and politics. “On the other hand you may say that you have been placed there because the majority of people have faith in your decision-making, and that they trust you to do the right thing for them. Doing what you think is right will not directly benefit them, and they may not see it, but eventually it will make everyone better off. Maybe their children will be a lot better off for it, and certainly the country will be. But there is a political cost attached too.
