A Week Goes by in Kuwait

A couple of Kuwaitis have just participated in Gulfrun, an event which Kthekuwaiti attended, and which he described as:

” GulfRun is a yearly ‘rally’ that starts off in Kuwait with the cars going to Bahrain and back for the weekend (think mini-Gumball). The F1 circuit has been reserved for a friendly competition between the participating cars.”

While K the Kuwaiti was rumbling in the desert, fellow blogger Forzaq8 , who had a lot of free time on his hands on Friday, toured the traditional Friday Market in Kuwait, clicking photographs on the way.

Bo9ager too seems to have had some spare time, and decided to showcase a part of his currency collection for all to enjoy.

” I set up a page on flickr with my money collection, I have many bank-notes from all over the world. Arabic currencies will follow later.”

Meanwhile, Baroque over at Bulletin Board, discovered that we have our very own cheerleaders squad in Kuwait and spoke of how people do not have priorities.

“This is the alleged head of cheer leaders Naymah Ahmad Al Sabah.. yeah, we apparently have cheerleaders, ironically sad”

Amer, over at HILALIYA points out an interesting Kuwait Times article on the obstacles of importing into Kuwait while CyberRowdy remind us of when to renew our ADSL and when to get better offers for it in Kuwait.

Albandry too is in a charitable mood this week and has launched an online campaign calling for volunteers for a charity bazaar for the benefit of children suffering with autism.

” Do u know what is autism???
It is a very serious disease and a lot of people dont know what is it. I am not going to talk about it. I need to see how many of u know about it. I am planning a charity event for autism
I will update u with it. I need some volunteers. I need sponsors. I need people to rent tables
for my charity bazaar.”

Want to go a cultural event? Exzombie has got what you want:

“The Embassy of Japan in Kuwait is organising two cultural events this month:
1. Art Exhibition “A New Generation Art from Japan”…
2. Japanese Music Concert “Musa Ensamble” “

That's all ..tune up for more Kuwaiti updates next week!
