I am just wondering about entry level jobs for our school leavers. My son recently graduated from school and is so depressed that after working so hard to attain his subjects, every job he tries to interview for (except packing bags at the supermarket), he is being asked for minimum 5 yers experience. Where are they to get the experience from if we do not hire them so they can gain a little. It is just awfull. I am tring to encourage him to go even further with his education his answer was “What is the point Istill won’t get hired anyway unless I know sombody, It dous not matter if I am educated or not, school in Jamaica is pointless”. The scary thing is that I tend to agree with him.
