Ecuador: Promoting Local Community

Carlos Correa Loyola observes that, although lists nearly 1,000 registered weblogs, many are inactive or unrelated to Ecuador. Furthermore, only a handful are based in the Andean city of Loja. To help promote a sense of community and local awareness, Loyola says he is starting his own informal directory of “Blogs Lojanos“, which he will publish each week along with a series of Creative Commons-licensed interviews with various Loja-based bloggers.
