Talking about jamaica that way turns people away instead of talking about the crimes talk about the good things. The jamaican government can do nothing to control the killings so the time and money being spent should go towards education and tourism

Am a jamaican living in Nevis.H ere in Nevis it is very peaceful, you can leave your doors open and leave for years and come back to see everything you left.If only Jamaica was like that. The island would have more visitors each year

Jamaica and this whole region was once the way you are describing your situation in Nevis, but developement comes with a price as you will soon learn. I will however agree with you that more monies needs to be spent in education in order to stablise my country. Of course the government can do something to stem the crime with starts with stop being politicians and start serving the people of Jamaica. As politicians created this situation with crime due to the politicians creating a dependent people for the less educated in the society and the cycle continues. A politicians favourite word is I…….. but WE the people who matters the most.
