Don Gilliland at Bangkok Dazed complains about the excessive firecracker sound but otherwise likes the Thai festival of Loy Krathong “Loy Krathong is a beautiful Thai tradition. People all over the country flock to the nearest body of water on the full moon night in November and float a krathong (a thin, circular piece of banana tree that is decorated with flowers, candles and sticks of incense) and make a wish.”
