Ana María [1](ES) lives in Heidelberg. She explains that to pass the cold winter she discovered wool. With it she makes small handcraft dolls and posts them on her blog. Just like she does, a lot of Chileans around the world use blogs to express themselves, communicate with friends, and share their feelings.
Andrea [2](ES) lives in Toronto. In her last post, she shares her concern about the people that are accusing illegal immigrants:
Osea me explico, algunos malnacidos y malnacidas tb (disculpen el termino), se hacen pasar por tus amigos,(as), se enteran de toda tu vida, y apenas saben que tu estas ilegal en este pais, van corriendo a Inmigracion a cobrar su cheque de 1000 dolares, a cambio le dan tu direccion, tus datos y todo, o como decimos aqui “TE PONEN EL DEDO” . Es ahi donde viene inmigracion y te arresta como delicuente o peor que eso..”
Indianguman [3](ES) writes from Finland, and shares life's everyday concerns, from the relaxed attitude of her cat to the first time her daughter lost a teeth, or in the last post, a poem:
“Caminos que convergen
galaxias que se crean
puentes que se tienden
océanos de viajes
de ida y vuelta
abismos que se salvan
arrecifes que estallan
a flor de agua
labios que conjuran besos
conjugando verbos
madeja de giños
que una imagen
desataLa belleza nos concilia
y aquí estamos
confluyendo”
Create galaxys,
Gates that lay,
Oceans of trips,
Roundtrips,
Abyss those are safe,
Reef that explode,
To a water flower,
Lips that conspire kisses,
Conjugate verbs,
Hank of wink,
That a image,
Undo,
The beauty council,
And here we are,
converging
Other Chileans share their lives from abroad like Gonzalo [4] (ES), a professor at the University of Massachusettes in Boston, Felix [5](ES) in NY, Elisa [6] (ES) in Cremona, Francisca [7] (ES) in Germany and a lot of others. Sometimes, though, you need to leave a comment to know where they're writing from.
