Reunion: Urban Health

Blogger and public official for the town of Saint-Andre Eric Fruteau posts an interview regarding the proposal that Reunion join “Ville en Sante”, a WHO urban health project ^[1]. Stephanie Longeras, the interviewee, explained to the blogger that (Fr): “We want to foster the sanitary development of all of La Reunion's cities. La Reunion cannot stay outside of the Ville en Sante national and global network.” Although La Reunion is part of France, the interviewee explained that due to its geographic belonging to the Indian Ocean, it had to work with neighboring non-French islands who share similar health problems.
