“Caracas Connect” is a derivative (they stole their catchy title from Francisco Toro), uninspired blog written by individuals who don’t have the honesty to come out and openly display their support for Chavismo. They perpetuate a charade of “balance” but when one reads their posts over time, their partisanship with Chavismo is obvious. I mean, the joy with which they announce their meeting with VP Rangel is simply laughable.
I’m just glad they’re archiving their support for Chavismo, so that years from now their complicity with dictatorship can be kept in mind. At least Dan Burnett of Oil Wars has made his pro-Chavista stance explicit. That’s about as much as I can say for him.
