The authorities have instead awarded the local transport contract to a Chinese company that operates electric vehicles. “Given that a hundreds-strong group of moto drivers now have nothing to do all day but sit in the Angkor Wat parking lot and watch as a foreign company drives away with their cash cow — and pay for the pleasure — it’s seems rather predictable that the scheme would end in grief.”
