Lebanon: Call for Action!

A new blog called, Civilian Resistance in Lebanon – www.lebanonsolidarity.org has started a campaign for Lebanon; ‘An Open Country for Civil Resistance.’ The campaign is calling upon the local and international community to join a campaign of civil resistance to Israel's war against Lebanon and its people and declare Lebanon an open country for civil resistance.

The campaign is endorsed by more than 200 local and international organizations. More information can be found here.

    Hello. i would like to say that i believe that the internet is being supervised. i am currently in lebanon and cannot enter any of the websites that show pictures of the war or that support the end of the war. i believe that this is a violation of the freedom of speech right, since this is surely a way for lebanese ppl to have no outside contact with the world and express their anger and frustration of the war.when they have no access to some websites they will be somehow living in ignorance to what is happening and confined to believing what is shown on the tv. then, on tv, each broadcasting center shows a different story of what is happening depending on whose allegiances they are on. if a lebanese channel says 15 are dead, CNN says 7 are dead, and so on and on. we as lebanese are totally cut off of what is currently happening and hardly have any electricity. we are thus confined to our “listening skills” to know where a bomb might have occured…
