John Peter Eakes and his wife (both of German ancestry) left this region: Saratov Kaminska Volga. 1908. They emmigrated to Kansas in United States. My mother was an infant (born in Russia) at the time and became a “naturalized” U.S. citizen as an adult. Next year our far-flung family across the U.S. is getting together for a family reunion.

We are very proud of our German-Volga roots, but don’t have much information about the “Eakes” family in Russia. Does anyone have any information they might care to share with us on this?

Thank you for the nice website.
I made a spelling mistake above . . . region Saratov, the village or area was Kamenka.
