Israel/Lebanon commentary

“Destroying the infrastructure of Lebanon isn't going to achieve much. It would surely not make Israel any safer,” writes Netherlands-based Nigerian blogger Chippla in a . “Support for Hezbollah has been on the increase in Lebanon since the bombing started…Hezbollah isn't a political party per se that could easily be destroyed. It is like a movement, an ideology, formed in 1982 to drive Israeli forces out of Lebanon.”

It was crasy for Israel to start this war. It is of no benefit to the Israli people. It will only increase support for Hezbollah. Israel should pay Lebanon reparations for the destruction on their infrastructure.

I can understand the need to eradicate terrorism, but for a country whose people went through the holocaust, not to have learn’t from history, act like those that agressed against them, makes them no better than the Nazi’s. To kill innocent people, especially children is totally unacceptable. The actiosn of Israel on both their north and south borders is tantamount to the start of genocide.

Saw a picture on the net this morning of a father carrying his dead 3 year old girl, killed in the Qana attack. I think its time for Hezbollah and Israel to start thinking about the children. These are the innocent victims of war with no voice.
