Omid Memarian, journalist & blogger, writes about Ramin Jahanbegloo [1], jailed intellectual, and his own experience in prison. The blogger writes the Islamic regime is so suspicious about the role of civil society actors such as journalists, intellectuals and academics. According to the blogger, Jahanbegloo was among the optimist scholars who care about the Iranian society by putting all their efforts on changing the social and political life by increasing people’s conciseness by education, dialogue and bringing up questions. He adds when I was in the prison, I was facing with the same story. I couldn’t imagine how their mistrust was deep… I saw things that I thought they are all just stories created by people’s imagination but not real. It was real [2].
