Un Lobo en Peru mentions a column by Mario Vargas Llosa [2] calling for an alliance between APRA and Unidad Popular to defeat Ollanta. Fabiola Bazo of Peru Election 2006 says that Vargas Llosa's column has drawn mostly negative reaction [3].
