Yesterday was the first official meeting to launch youth podcasting in Morocco. The goal is to introduce young Moroccans to a new form of self-expression and to give them a site on which to post their podcasts. Although the project was orginally launched by a group of Americans living in Morocco, the goal is to turn the project over to Moroccan control as soon as possible, Mary said.

To whom it may concern,
My name is Yasmine El Kerouani, I’m a moroccan broadcaster and podcaster. I have been working in the moroccan media field for the last 16 years and I am currently completing a masters at Kingston University in London.
For my final project, I am working on the anatomy of podcasting and I would like to have more information on the moroccan ground.
I came across an article posted via your platform in 2006: https://globalvoices.org/2006/04/17/morocco-podcasting-in-morocco/
It reads that the aim of the project is to “turn the project over moroccan control”.
I was wondering if I could have more information on this topic, 14 years later if the goal has been reached.
Sincerely
Yasmine
