Jordan: Fuel rises again

Categories: Middle East & North Africa, Jordan, Economics & Business, Environment

Starting from yesterday, fuel prices were raised again. The extent of the rise is what is shocking to most people, with the cost of diesel and kerosene going up by 43%. There were also hefty raises in the cost of gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas. Khalaf writes [1] that this price rise will have serious effects on the cost of living for most people, despite the compensations which the government has set aside for lower income individuals.
