Artist Ingrid Mwangi [5] (Kenya/Germany) undresses in the waters of the Aripo [6] river, as part of a performance piece she was having videotaped during the third Big River International Artists’ Workshop [7]. The workshop is currently taking place in Aripo, Trinidad [8]. Workshop participants have been commissioned to create works on the theme “Access Denied”.

The 11-day retreat [9] ends on Sunday 12 March with presentations of the works at the Little Carib Theatre in Port of Spain, Trinidad. The countries represented in this year's lineup of artists [10] are Trinidad and Tobago, the Bahamas, the US Virgin Islands, Brazil, Germany, Kenya, China and India. The Big River workshop is a project of Caribbean Contemporary Arts (CCA) [11] and the Triangle Arts Trust [12].
