Guatemala: Legends and Folklore on mp3

Leyendas de Guatemala (ES) is a new weblog with a great offer (ES). If you email Dorge Ozaeta with your name, country, and reason for wanting the recordings, he will email you mp3 versions of popular Guatemalan legends. Isa, who has a similar blog about Nicaraguan legends, thinks this is a great idea (ES).

I would like the legends because I am studying the culture. I have a cultural unit to research for my master’s class. I will be visiting Guatemala in January, as well.

    Thank you for your assistance.

I would like your legends because I am doing my teaching practice at Colegio Montessori in Literature and for this unit we will be discussing folktales, legends and myths. I would really appreciate if you could send me a copy.

    Thank you

Please, I would really like to receive the mp3´s of the legends. The reason I´m searching them is because at our school we are celebrating the Independence of Guatemala, and I want to make a special act using this audio. I would love to hear from you and hopefully I will get a positive answer from you.
    Thanks a lot!

Hello, I would like the recordings because I am reading The President by Miguel Angel Asturias, and in order to further my understanding of the novel and Guatemalan culture I would like hear these myths. He was influenced in his narrative by The Popol Vu, it is said. This is all part of a Latin American Literature class I am taking at the undergraduate level, in Florida. Thank you.

I am teaching the Popol Vu in my college ESL class and would like to include these recordings as we read the Maiden’s Tale and Asturias’ Men of Maize
