DR: Fit to print?

Remolacha.net is outraged (ES) that the Dominican newspaper El Nacional is running a photo of two dead children on the front page of today's edition, and asks: “isn't there a law to protect the children's identity?”

  • It is even more outrageous that the burning and murder of Haitian children and their families are seldom fully investigated and never condemned in the Dominican Republic. We need to go beyond protection of identity to examine protection of the integrity of family of all immigrants to the Dominican Republic regardless of ethnicity.
