Leon Kadoch is frustrated by Americans who live and work in Panama without taking the time to learn the language and culture. Kadock opines that this is a specifically American phenomenon and that French, Dutch, German, and British visitors have “a completely different behavior, they're really working hard on learning our culture [and] language.”

I think that it is great that this “American phenomenon” is pushing many Panamanians, specially the younger generations to learn English, no question about it.
I wish that the immigration of Latin Americans in the United States would push more Americans to learn Spanish.
