Egypt: Al Qaeda vs. the MB

What's the difference between Zawahiri (Al Qaeda second man) and Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood MB's? According to Sandmonkey, the MB's don't use guns anymore, they left it to Zawahiri and those like him. Members that Muslim Brotherhood recruited and trained and now claim have defected.

Even though I don’t approve of the Muslim brotherhood in any way or form, in fact I believe that such a party should have no place in a new democratic Egypt due to their biased approach towards the Egyptian Christian population. I feel the necessity to clarify the difference in objectives. Unlike Zawahiri and the likes, the Muslim Brotherhood is a political party even though it is not formally acknowledged that hopes to enforce Sharia (Laws of the Qoran) as the main source of legistlature in Egyptian law amongst other Qoran related changes in the constitution. Even though they have a history of violence, in the sense that it was they who assassinated President Sadaat, they now have a political agenda and hope to achieve their objectives peacfully or atleast I hope so. The Muslim Brotherhood was responsible for the majority of the violence and terroist attacks in Egypt in the late 1990’s and the Mulsim Brotherhood wining seats in the Egyptian parliment this last election only comes as a response to a wave of rather fanatical islamism that is sweeping over the Egyptian society. I hope people can understand the true consequences of electing such representatives so that Egypt is not thrown back to the dark ages.
