Nigeria: Xmas in my home town

Categories: Sub-Saharan Africa, Nigeria

Jangbalajugbu-Homeland Stories writes that like millions of other Nigerians at Christmas time, he is off to his home town which is called Saki in Oyo Stat [1]e where the heat is intense and the hammatan season is in full force. “Saki is like some two and a half hours from Ibadan, the largest city in West Africa, south of the Sahara. The journey to Saki is such a long one and its the Christmas season that always give me the courage to travel that far, away from the things I do back in the major cities.”
