Jordan: 1001 Nights

Categories: Middle East & North Africa, Jordan

Rami adds a story to 1001 nights stories when he describes where he comes from [1]. He says: “Jesus was baptised 45 minutes away from my house, Moses looked upon the holy land 35 minutes away from my house, the temple of Zeus is not too far too, Jerusalem is a two hour ride from where I live (if it isn't for the borders!), Bethelehem is a little further, and Nazareth is a little farther. Sodom and Gammourah sank under the dead sea, where we go out for fun on weekends and that is 30 minutes away from my house, the wife of prophet Lout is still enstoned to this day on the eastern bank of the sea, other people with the message of god like Shuaib, Moab and others have their tombs in my country. The Muslims defeated the romans for good not so far away. Ad and Thamod were buried under the sands of Wadi Rum, where people go for camping, partying and ‘four wheeling’ these days… the list goes on forever!”
