Zimbabwe: Call to arms at PTA meeting

Sokwanele has a report from “Housewife – Harare” about a brief speech by a grandparent at a recent meeting to discuss fees at a local school. ” I used to earn enough money by selling vegetables,” the elderly man told assembled parents, teachers and leading ruling party officials. “Now I am not allowed to do that any more. The government has chased all vendors off the streets. So how can I pay the school fees ? If they are raised then I am prepared to fight.”
