Malaysia is gaining harsh perception over its governance of the airwaves and cyberspace [1]. Indonesia-based blogger Indcoup links to a story on Malaysia's newly launched crackdown on porn stored on mobile phones [2] – police are authorised to carry out random spot checks to catch culprits. Quoting Anonymous Blogging [3], he says Malaysia now ranks alongside Iran, China, Peninsular Arabia (Saudi Arabia, Syria, Bahrain) and Zimbabwe as “the most risky countries to blog from”.
