Inside PCIJ reports that a recent poll indicate that 70% of Filipinos believe that President Arroyo's call to amend the Constitution is unnecessary. On the flip side, however, roughly the same percentage admitted that they had little or no knowledge of the Constitution.

the charter change really has no point!!! do they even think the mass of the filipinos would even want to adjust to this kind of government.. i mean, HALER! it’s been, what, like 106 years since the presidential form of gov’t was established ang many countrymen still haven’t even understood how it works!! How much more a form of gov’t alien to the filipinos!!?? i know the politicians already know this, but why are they still trying to push this through!!!??? they are really STUPID!! especially PGMA!! that whore of a president!!!
Let us not be fooled by the on going advertisement of this present regime of the government that the problem of the Filiino people and our country is our Constituion. True that a political crisis we are exeriencing is never-ending but the people must not suffer from it. The Charter Change they want us to believe is for the goodness of our economy? It never will be under this present rotten system. For our government is run by the elite clan and not by the majority of the Filipino people which what democracy is in its essence is all about.
we should be aware to our economic status today…….Masyado ng maraming problema ang Pilipinas tapos babaguhin pa ang uri ng pamamahala.Mga marami kasing mga corrupt na officials.Magkakakilala sila kaya alam nila kung panu itago ang mga pera na nacorrupt……Justice now is not fair…….(that’s true)…
leche… dapat kxe in the first place PGMA did not run for presidency kxe db she promised that she will not run for presidency and then just like that binawi nya…PING LACSON is the only hope of this country!..tangina kxe mga pinoy ayaw sumunod sa mga rules tpos reklamo ng reklamo !!!….ANIMO BENILDE
i dont think changing our constitution will change the current status of our government especially of our country.
as they say, it will just change the name of our constitution but not of what we are or what we have at the moment.
cha-cha issue is now a favorite topic of everybody but i dont think everybody will dance on the issue..
der is no need for charter change.. its not the type of government taht should be cahnged, its the people in the government itself.. im not saying that there should be a snap election, im just saying that most officials in the government are selfish.. they only think about themselves and not the pilipino people..
