Was it this way when you were in Mexico too? Everyone I knew who had a cell phone there used it primarily to text message their friends/family.
Definitely. In fact, it was this way in every single country I’ve ever traveled to. I wonder what it is about America and Americans that we don’t text message as much as other countries.
The difference is that airtime is much less expensive in the US, so we can afford to just make the 1 or 2 minute phone call instead of writing a text.
