Global Voices meets the Mainstream Media

Global Voices bloggers are showing up everywhere in the mainstream media these days! American Public Media's syndicated radio show, “Future Tense”, focuses on our project today. You can listen to the show online (in RealAudio) or, if you're in the US or Canada, tune in for the show. (Future Tense airs as part of “As It Happens” on the CBC).

Global Voices bloggers Rebecca MacKinnon, Hossein Derakshan and Jeff Ooi were featured guests on Boston radio station WBUR's “The Connection” last Thursday, along with our good friend Julien Pain from Reporters Without Borders. The show, on “cyber dissidents”, can be listened to online in RealAudio.

Clark Boyd's interview with Black Looks blogger Sokari Ekine is featured on the BBC's website today.

And Global Voices contributor Ndesanjo Macha is part of the group of African journalists UK NGO Panos has brought to Scotland to cover the G-8 summit. He's reporting on the events in his English blog, his Swahili blog, the Panos group blog and in the Metro newspaper.
