We've recently solved a couple of long-standing technical problems and we should be able to start doing “Skypecasts” – podcasts of interviews conducted over Skype – in the next couple of weeks. As we get ready to start broadcasting, we're wondering who to talk to first. What do you – our readers – think? Whose voice are you anxious to hear on the Global Voices site? Help us decide what interviews to conduct first by posting your preferences in the comment section.

Ahmad from KSA! I want to hear what he thinks. Also, the Brooding Persian.
Oh, and Mahmood and Alaa from Egypt.
Yvette Lopez of Inside Somaliland (A Taste of Africa). Her blog is interesting, multi-faceted, well-read with lots of commentary. One of the hardest-working authors in the Blogosphere, writing about the amazing achievements and failures of women and men in northern Somalia.
Here is the link to her blog: http://insidesomaliland.blogtales.com/
Praktlke – I’m having lunch with Alaa in Amman tomorrow – I’ll try to work out time for an interview in the next couple of weeks.
BRE – I’m a big fan of Yvette’s blog and will contact her in the next couple of days to see if we can set up a conversation…
